Daniels’ main areas of activity are executive training programmes, strategy facilitation for management teams and boards, and one-to-one mentoring of executives and startup founders.
He teaches from practice. As a minister he led energy and economic reforms and the health sector’s Covid-19 crisis response, at Swedbank Latvia he built the public affairs function after the financial crisis, and he helped turn the Latvian Chamber of Commerce into a member-driven business body and co-founded the Latvian Startup Association.
His programmes use tools and frameworks developed at Harvard and other leading business schools. They are built on purpose-built simulations, participants’ own cases and interactive discussion, so that people practise skills they can apply in daily work. He starts from the client’s actual situation instead of a standard programme. Topics include negotiation skills for executives, difficult negotiations and conflict, communicating with empathy, adaptive leadership, strategic agility and decision-making under uncertainty, and leading AI and digital transformation.
Whatever the topic, his focus is on people and on how they work with each other. Strategies and technologies change fast, and the human side of that change is often the hardest part. His aim is to help people do well in a fast and confusing time, through understanding and adaptation.
