As a commander, Linas trained subunits and commanders for air defence tasks.
As an instructor, Linas analysed Western commanders’ training programmes and implemented the Finnish Army’s Deep Lead programme at the Military Academy.
When working with organisations, Linas aims to ensure lasting change, and bases his work on programmes for continuous learning and change. The principles of Linas’ teachings can be found in the acronym MANEI [THOUGHT], present in all of his seminars:
M – learning from the experience of colleagues, sharing successes and failures. This practice complements the theory learned, bringing people closer together in a group
A – clear model, 1 tool per topic. This practice helps the theory to be applied sooner and without hesitation
N – useful practice, a real-life task carried out right away. This practice helps develop trust in the theory learned, and gain the confidence necessary to apply it within the team
E – emotional experience, learning by “stepping into another’s shoes”. This practice ensures that the material learned is not forgotten for a long time
I – belief-changing reflection. This practice helps to eliminate ineffective attitudes and biases
The aim? You may have THOUGHT of something in a particular way, but after the training, you will think about it differently 🙂
