Hiking provides non-standard growth programmes consisting of a variety of experiences, including classroom learning, hiking in Lithuanian forests, preparation for hiking, and a very important part―reflection on hiking.

The main principle of these programmes is to let the participants get immersed in intensive real-life experiences. We will have to go a certain distance with our backpacks in different weather conditions, live in the natural environment, and adhere to hiking rules that encourage us to look for solutions and leave our comfort zones. This experience will provide insights about yourself, your relationships, your group and its dynamics. It is the real life that we will learn from. We will create lessons and experiences based on circumstances.

What solutions are available?

  • Leadership hike.
  • Stories hike.
  • Team building hike.
  • Christmas (holiday) hike.

Value for the team

  • Learning more about each other not as colleagues but as personalities. Learning more about what each of you is like when outside of the office and what each of you finds involving both at work and in other settings.
  • Increased trust in each other. At work, we normally talk about goals and projects, and we rarely share our personal stories. During the hike, we will talk about noticing our egos, about what are egos do to our trust, and how trust in the team can be boosted.
  • Crystallisation of assignment of team activities based on strengths. During the hike, personal assignments will have a major effect on the well-being of the entire team, which means that we will need to observe ourselves and others: how we are able to collaborate, ask for help or offer help, assume responsibility, or provide direct yet polite feedback.

Value for the individual

They will learn to pay attention to their communication because interpersonal communication during such hikes will not be facilitated and will flow naturally, meaning that the whole group will be able to deal with several topics: how we communicate our task and our vision for implementing the task, how we receive information from each other, who initiates the facilitation of discussions, and who remains a passive observer. We will also discuss how we communicate with the outside world, outside of our team.
