The training is intended for

Procurement executives and professionals. Personnel in large, medium-sized and small companies in charge of supplier selection, conclusion of procurement contracts and collaboration with suppliers.

Value of the training

Procurement is an activity that is performed in every company, the successful management of which relies on the ability to see the whole picture, from the content of the procurement, to working with suppliers, to ensuring smooth procurement processes. Proper management of suppliers and procurement processes maximises the potential of both the supplier and the buyer, generates additional savings and other benefits for both sides and ensures continuous improvement.

In these two days dedicated to training, we will look into areas essential for successful procurement and supply management — from strategic management of procurement content, to supplier relations and working with suppliers, to ensuring a smooth procurement process within the company.

Content of the training

Having taken part in this training, you will:

  • Have enhanced your knowledge of strategic procurement management.
  • Be able to group suppliers according to their influence on the buyer and select communication and cooperation tactics accordingly.
  • Have gained (additional) knowledge about supplier performance management.
  • Have learnt which KPIs can be applied to suppliers and the procurement process.
  • Be able to model supplier selection (procurement tenders) properly.
  • Be able to negotiate more effectively.
  • Be able to conclude contracts more efficiently and with fewer loopholes and irrational clauses.
  • Having taken part in this training, you will return to work in high spirits and full of new ideas.

The training is designed to stimulate participant engagement through discussions, case studies and various practical exercises. It is also an opportunity to meet procurement personnel from other (leading) Lithuanian companies.

About the lecturer

Jurgita has 15+ years of experience in procurement and 3+ years of experience in logistics in multinational companies, state enterprises and Lithuanian capital companies. One of her success factors is that she has been able to work alongside eminent executives who have achieved impressive results in the business world, allowing her to develop, learn from them and continue to strive for even better results.

Jurgita’s expert areas are:

  • Cost management
  • Procurement management
  • Involvement of people in efficient processes
  • Negotiations with suppliers (over 1,000 negotiations in 20 years)

She started her “real” career, as she calls it, in sales to the Scandinavian market in one of the largest Lithuanian manufacturing companies and then moved on to Purchasing and other Supply Chain departments where she has been working intermittently for the past 20+ years.

Jurgita has published a book called “Vincas Stanynas. Prisiminimai” which tells the story of a Lithuanian intellectual being a political exile in the Rešiota camps. When asked about her hobbies, Jurgita mentions several different ones, including active leisure in nature, music and foreign languages (she can communicate in as many as 6).

Feedback

Here is what our customers say about the programme.

“We found the format of the training session to be very practical and enjoyable. It was a great opportunity to test our skills in what we had already known and been applying every day — some of the themes resembled the nature of work of our colleagues. We are delighted with the fact that the theoretical material of the training programme was very comprehensive and generously supplemented with practical examples from the lecturer's professional experience. It gave us the freedom to debate certain points and stimulated our internal discussions and the sharing of best practices. The lecturer Jurgita is a professional practitioner who listened to the client and provided structured information for our team!”
