Our relationship with Verslo Žinios is special: we take part in conferences they organise and share our knowledge and good practices, and they are also long-term partners of the CEO Day conference.
On 12 May, a conference was held where Eglė Daunienė was a speaker. Eglė has more than 19 years of professional experience in organisational consultancy and training and also has considerable experience of practical management as a top manager and board member. Eglė certainly had something to say and share.
“The modern world deprives managers of their traditional powers to force, instruct, persuade and exert influence. These powers are only effective in a narrow system. Today, if leadership and partnership are our priorities, exerting influence and affecting are not sufficient. The gate to partnership is not outside but inside an individual―where our feelings, emotions and values reside, where we are vulnerable as people. We can only understand others and do important work together if we understand ourselves!”
This was one of the ideas that Eglė Daunienė shared during her #CEOday speech “A manager’s (lack of) power that encourages mobilisation to pursue goals: adaptive challenges and leadership.”
We invite you to examine your (lack of) power. It is really interesting, and you will certainly discover something new.
We have shared some photographs of the event and are looking forward to meeting you at the conference next year!
